ABOUT ME
​
My passion is working alongside people as they pursue greater fullness and well-being in their lives. I believe everyone has a voice and story that matters in this world. I believe therapy can be for anyone who is willing to simply show up and engage in the process regardless of where they find themselves in life. I truly consider it an honor to be able to offer a safe place of support as a counselor and am humbled to be doing this work.
I am born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and have lived in Bellingham, WA now for about the last decade. In 2013, I received my Bachelor's in Human Services from Western Washington University. Several years after getting my degree from Western, marrying my husband and us settling in Bellingham together, I realized I wanted to pursue becoming a counselor and went back to school online to get my Master's in Counseling.
In 2018 I received my M.A. in Counseling in an excellent CACREP accredited program through Colorado Christian University. I have a prior background working with young adults in ministry and administration. Although today I do not solely work with only Christian clients, I have found that the work I did in ministry and administration has been a huge asset to me and has shaped me into being an effective communicator and someone who pays close attention to details. I also have 2 years of experience working as a clinician in the mental health field with persons experiencing mental health emergencies and those with those who suffer from chronic severe mental illness.
Since mid 2019 I have had the opportunity to be focus my full attention and work in the private practice setting as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) and now as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) since Fall 2023. Working in private practice has been a dream come true! In my free time I can be found sipping a good cup of coffee, on long walks outdoors, or taking care of my super cute baby. I look forward to the possibility of getting to know you!
